FM Helmets (UK) Ltd. is based in the United Kingdom, and is a division of Isle of Wight Motorcycles. All goods prices at fmhelmets.co.uk are in UK pounds Sterling. Goods will only be supplied to UK addresses except by prior arrangement. Please contact us by e-mail for supply of goods outside the UK. We will quote shipping charges to your location on an individual basis. Goods will be invoiced in UK pounds sterling, and your credit card company will make the appropriate exchange conversions into your deomestic currency at the time the transaction is charged to your account. We have no control over exchange rate fluctuations, and cannot give a firm price for goods in your currency. It is in your interest to check the current exchange rate for your currency before you authorise the transaction.
Prices at www.fmhelmets.co.uk are subject to possible change without prior notice. However, the customer will be consulted before the transaction commences if any such unpublished change takes place.
All goods remain the property of FM Helmets (UK) Ltd until successful credit card authorisation, cheque clearance or receipt of UK Post Office Postal Orders. However, goods shall remain the responsibility of FM Helmets (UK) Ltd until delivered to the customers address. Ensure packaging is intact before signing for a delivery, If the packaging is noticeably damaged write 'packaging damaged' on carriers delivery documentation before accepting the delivery.
Cheques require a '14 working day' clearance period, no goods will be dispatched until such clearance period has elapsed. (Please note this only applies to cheques, goods paid for by Credit and Debit card are dispatched next working day.)
Cheques must be drawn in Sterling and be from a bank that operates public customer banking in the UK.
FM Helmets (UK) Ltd are not necessarily obliged to contact customers to inform them of any refused credit card authorisation or failed cheque clearance. However, in most cases at least one attempt will be made.
Goods featured at www.fmhelmets.co.uk are usually, unless otherwise stated, available from stock. However, due to; zero stock at suppliers, production problems, BSI approval delays or other circumstances beyond FM Helmets (UK) Ltd's control availability cannot be guaranteed.
In the event of goods not being available the customer will be informed of the reason and expected delay, the option to proceed or not will then rest with the customer.
FM Helmets (UK) Ltd reserves the right to refuse to supply goods without reason.
FM Helmets (UK) Ltd shall endeavor to reply to reasonable genuine enquiries regarding goods displayed at www.fmhelmets.co.uk within a maximum of 2-3 working days. However, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally extend this response time.
FM Helmets (UK) Ltd shall endeavor to dispatch goods on the same day that they are charged to a customers credit card. Likewise, FM Helmets (UK) Ltd shall endeavor to dispatch goods paid for by cheque on the day the cheque is cleared.
FM Helmets (UK) Ltd cannot be held responsible for delay in dispatch due to unforeseen circumstances. Any refund or compensation for loss prior to delivery will not exceed the purchase price of the goods in dispute. No refund or compensation will be given until the goods are returned to FM Helmets (UK) Ltd or the carrier has admitted liability for loss or damage.
Any undamaged goods returned as 'delivery refused by recipient' or those returned for refund rather than replacement may, at FM Helmets (UK) Ltd's discretion, be subject to a re-stocking charge. Please note, any refund will be based on goods value excluding delivery and insurance charges which are not refundable.
Goods will normally be delivered by our carrier on a next working day basis if we despatch before 4pm the previous day. Goods must be signed for on receipt, and will not be left without this receipt. If you are not in to receive the goods, our carrier will leave a card so that you may arrange another convenient delivery time.
Stated delivery times are those quoted by the relevant carrier and are not absolutely guaranteed. However, FM Helmets (UK) Ltd will endeavor to assist customers if a consignment is not received within reasonable time.
Please make every effort to ensure that you order the correct size of helmet. Use our simple helmet sizing guide, and if possible, try on the exact model of helmet you are ordering from us to ensure a good fit. If you do purchase an incorrect size, please read the returns policy below carefully, as we can only exchange items if the returns procedure is followed exactly.
FM Helmets (UK) Ltd must be notified of goods damaged in transit immediately after receipt and authorisation obtained prior to return. No replacement or refund can be given without such authorisation being issued. If the packaging is noticeably damaged at time of delivery write 'packaging damaged' on carriers delivery documentation before accepting the delivery.
Goods ordered from FM Helmets (UK) Ltd may be returned for exchange for another size or colour or a refund as appropriate so long as the item is returned as soon after receipt as possible, and in its original packing and condition. Any goods returned for refund maybe subject, at our discretion, to a restocking fee. Any such refunds will be based on goods value excluding delivery and insurance charges which are not refundable.
Goods must be returned via a suitably insured carrier ideally with tracking and signed for delivery. This is obviously for your own peace of mind. Remember,though to insure the goods as they are yours until we receive them. It is your responsibility to pay for all shipping costs involved in returning goods that are not suitable and we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
The cost of shipping replacement goods back to you will be charged to the same credit/debit card as the original goods transaction at our standard rates. Prior to returning goods to FM Helmets (UK) Ltd, for any reason, you must contact us to obtain returns authorisation, without suitable authorisation returns may be refused. Please phone, fax or e-mail us for authorisation.
Any undamaged goods returned as 'delivery refused by recipient' or those returned for refund rather than replacement may, at FM Helmets (UK) Ltd's discretion, be subject to a re-stocking charge.
All goods must be returned in 'as new' saleable condition along with affixed labels the box or branded packaging. Please securely wrap the parcel to avoid any damage or the possibility of it splitting open whilst in transit.
FM Helmets (UK) Ltd will provide, on request, a breakdown of any charges levied. Please note: We are unable to provide any breakdown of these charges prior to receiving the returned goods.
